In a bid to ameliorate poverty and to support the less privileged in the society, 61 persons across Nigeria have received grant ranging from #50, 000 to #200, 000 from the Amarachi Human Care Incorporated Canada and the Amarachi Care Foundation to grow their businesses and support their families.
President General and Director of Missions of the foundation, Reverend Father Godwin Kalu says that the foundation is highly committed to relieving poverty, enhancing education, promoting religious tolerance, empowering the less privileged and providing healthcare services to the most vulnerable population in the society.
Represented by Rev. Father Johnbosco Emelike, Rev. Kalu commended the commitment of the board members both in Canada and Nigeria and call on well meaning individuals to partner the foundation in alleviating the problems of society to the benefit of mankind.
The year 2026 empowerment programme saw 8 persons from Nassarawa State received grant of #200,000 each while in Abia State 53 persons from Otu-uzo Autonomous Community Ibere in Ikwuano LGA, received grant ranging from #50,000 to #200,000 each to grow their businesses.
Speaking to journalists on the empowerment, the Eze-elect of Otuzo Autonomous Community, Chief Chidi Hyacinth Kalu congratulated the beneficiaries, emphasizing that the grants is for business purposes and not to be eaten to avoid going back to the status quo.

Chief Kalu explained that the aim of the foundation is to alleviate poverty and to give succour to the vulnerable in the society noting that his late father, Pa Kalu advised them to always give a helping hand to people they are better off.
So far the foundation since 2023 has carried outreach missions that touched the lives of the elderly, young adults, and children including individuals on the streets, Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, leprosy camps, and flood victims in Adamawa State.
Support for several institutions including St. Vincent De Paul Centre, Umuahia, DMMM Jubilee Home, Ahiaeke, Immaculate Conception Seminary, Ahiaeke and various orphanages and communities across Nigeria.
In the area of education, the foundation is currently sponsoring sixty (60) children on scholarship across all the geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
In Amuro Ibere community, the foundation has intervenes in the provision of reticulated borehole water systems, medical outreaches, renovation of clinics, provision of shelter to people in need and recently completed the retrofitting of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Also, Secretary of the foundation, Engr. Fagboore Adebowale Anthony reaffirms the foundation’s unwavering commitment to continue serving humanity in delivering quality services to the people.

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, Mama Comfort Isaac Okereke praised the foundation’s efforts adding that this is one of its kind that an organisation is identifying the needs of the less privileged and providing them.
