On Sunday, February 11th 2024, Nigeria national team, the Super Eagles will play 2023 afcon final match with Ivory Coast, the host country.

This match is coming with much expectations and prayers that the super eagles will lift the AFCON trophy for the fourth time.

However, no one can determine who will take the day until the final whistle.

Presently in Nigeria, many people are facing a lot of mental stress due to the high cost of living. Price of goods and services is on the increase on daily basis.

These ugly scenarios have affected the health of many Nigerians.

In addition to the hardship, many Nigerians finds it difficult to control their emotions in any of the National team matches. A glaring example is the semi finals super eagles encounter with south Africa in the ongoing AFCON match last Wednesday February 7th, 2024.

Five Nigerians, who were hale and hearty according to reports available, lost their lives during the match.

The list include: former Executive Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, the Deputy Bursar of Kwara state University (KWASU) Alhaji Ayuba Olaitan Abdullahi, a corps member in Adamawa State, Malete, the richest motor spare part dealer in Cote d’Ivoire, Chief Osondu Nwoye, the last was a 43-year-old man, Mikail Osundiji. What a sad ending of these patriotic Nigerians!

As this unwelcomed development is surfacing, there is the need for Nigerians who are interested in watching the 2023 AFCON final match between the Super eagles of Nigeria and elephant of Ivory Coast to first go for a BP check which is free of charge in any medical facility.
They should also wear the clothes of caution and sportsmanship to avoid a repeat of what happened last Wednesday.

It is also advisable that Nigerians who cannot bear the shock of super eagles not getting expected results before the end of the match to skip watching and wait for the highlights, as life has no duplicate.

Furthermore, the families of those who lost their loved ones during the match should take heart.

On the other hand, it would be fair if the federal government of Nigeria immortalise those who lost their lives, because of their patriotic spirits.

Time for the AFCON final is 9pm. Be brave while you watch the 2023 AFCON final match between the Super Eagles and Ivory Coast and be conscious of your health, because there are many AFCON matches to come.
