Comrade Chidi Asonye of the Unity Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Abịa State Council, has emerged a member of the National Credentials Committee for the next Triennial Delegates Conference of the union.
Comrade Asonye, who is the Vice Chairman of the Abịa State Council of the NUJ, was the pioneer chairman of the Unity Federated Chapel before he relinquished that position to vy for the vice chairmanship position, even as he reemerged a second time for that position, a couple of months ago.
He has put in close to thirty five years as a practicing Journalist in the country and has worked as a reporter, Correspondent, Acting Editor, Managing Editor, Editor in Chief, and is currently a News Editor with ZikFm, 96.3, Umuahia.
With his emergence, Comrade Asonye will join other members
to screen candidates as well as conduct a free, fair and credible election that will usher in a new administration of the National Secretariat of the NUJ, in the next couple of months, even as inauguration of the National Credentials Committee is expected to be inaugurated soon.
