Workers in Abia State Local Government Service say they have started receiving June salaries as promised them by Governor Alex Otti.
Confirming this in a release made available to newsmen, the State NULGE President, Comrade Nwaigwe Ikechi kennedy, on behalf of the workers, thanked the Governor, Dr Alex C Otti for making good his promise.
Comrade Nwaigwe, said the payment was a confirmation of his earlier release that the salaries had been successfully uploaded and that workers would start receiving same immediately.
While urging those who have some challenges to go through their Local Government Treasures or the Officer in charge of payroll for guidance, he also called on them to be calm and continue to discharge their duties accordingly.
He maintained that the NULGE in Abia State will continue to represent their members and give maximum support to the Governor Alex Otti led administration in Abia State in his bid to take Abia State to the next level of development.
