The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Abia State Chapter has raised an alarm over the alleged attempted plan drawn to assassinate Chief Ahamdi Nweke, a leader and BOT member of their great party in Abia State by some desperate desperadoes’ and their political sponsors.
The State leadership of APGA in a statement endorsed by its state chairman, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, said they are not taking lightly this orchestrated evil plans to eliminate Chief Nweke, an incident which occurred on Saturday, 8the January,2022 at his home town, Umuihe, Isiala Ngwa South L.G.A, Abia State.
APGA hereby reiterates that the lives of all Abians remain sacred, including that of Chief Ahamdi Nweke and same must be protected at all cost by the relevant government security agencies in the State.
APGA, Abia State Chapter in the statement further states that for some time now, alleged that Abia State is not known for this kind of dastardly act, thus, the evil plan to eliminate our B.O.T member is politically motivated and APGA will not take this evil and ugly incident against her B.O.T member lightly as the party will not rest until the perpetrators of this evil plots are fished out.
APGA therefore called on all relevant security agencies in the State, including the D.S.S and police to swing into action to unravel the perpetrators of this dastardly act and their sponsors so that the full weight of the law will take its course against them.
