Mass communication students of the Abia State polytechnic Aba, Abia state have been urged to pay greater attention to their studies.
The station Manager of vision Africa radio, Mr Donald Igwe gave the advice while addressing the students who came on an excursion visit. He pointed out that the vigor injected while schooling will enhace their performance while practising and serve their audience better as future media workers.
Igwe as well as head of departments including Head of program Sam Ibeji, Head of News Department Felix Obani, Head of Marketing Pastor Nduaka Ekpe, and the Head Business Development, Mr Onyebuchi Ogbonna acquainted the students on the mode of operation of each department and their relationship with their audience.
Earlier, the immediate past Public Relations Officer, Abia State Polytechnic, Aba and lecturer department of mass communicate, Mrs Chinyere Eze said they brought the students to have first hand information on how a station is being ran which will assist the students in their practical work. Mrs Eze also thanked the management and staff of Vision Africa Radio for given the students the opportunity to add to their knowledge as well as the reception accorded them.
However, the students were later taken round the various departments in the station.
