The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Benue Chapter today 26th November, 2021 at Graceland Villa, Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State bestowed the National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye with the title of Tine (Pillar) of the party, APGA.
Performng the ceremony, the Chairman, APGA, Benue state, Mr Paul Salem said the APGA’s supremo had redefined leadership and deserved to be honoured and appreciated, noting that they decided to pay a solidarity visit and as well celebrate with APGA’s helmsman following the victictory recorded by the party at the just concluded Anambra State governorship election.
Salem led powerful delegation took their time to thank Ozonkpu Oye over what they described as his love and commitment towards entrenching APGA in Benue State, adding that the act saw a Benue indigene emerged as the Presidential Candidate of APGA in 2019 general elections and also made Benue produced 3 seats in the House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, highpoint of the colourful solidarity visit was the conferment of traditional Chieftaincy title of Pillar of APGA on APGA national chairman, Ozonkpu Dr Victor Oye, which in Tiv language means ‘Tine’, the custodian of APGA with the decoration of traditional regalia of Tiv People in Benue State.
According to APGA media team, those in attendance were the national Legal Adviser of APGA, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, the CEO/MD of Awka Development Authority ACTA, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa, the Chairman, APGA, Delta State, Mr Afam, among others.
