APGA Chieftain Backs OUK for Senate Presidency

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Prince Ike Okorafor has thrown his weight behind the Senate chief whip, Orji Uzor Kalu to be the senate president, saying that Orji Kalu is eminently qualified to preside over the 10th Senate.

Okorafor who stated this while interacting with our correspondent, said that the APC at the center should understand that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is a formidable candidate for the senate president.

He pointed out that the Senate chief whip who was a two term governor of Abia state, never owed workers and added that Orji ensured that everyone gets what is due to them and on time without having to persuade him. He maintained that as a governor, Orji made an indelible landmark from the provision of key infrastructures to man power development.

Prince Okorafor believed that the Senate chief whip has also done better as a Senator, while people from Abia North senatorial district now know that senators can build roads, schools and other critical infrastructures.

According to him, Orji Uzor Kalu leadership has exposed a lot of corruption in the Senate representation and intensified him as the best for the senate presidency.

He noted that the south west has the presidency, the north has the vice president and it is rational that the senate president is ceded to the south east and Orji Uzor Kalu remains the best, because the Senate chief whip possesses the intellectual capacity, competence and character to lead the 10th senate in delivering the mandate of the APC led federal government to Nigerians.

The APGA house of assembly candidate for Arochukwu constituency in the last general elections assured that the Nigeria senate will be better with Orji Uzor Kalu as its president. He added that this is not a question of where he comes from rather a question of credibility and national contacts to build cohesion.
