Apugo drums support for Otti, debunks endorsement of Emenike

A board of trustee member of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Abia State, Prince Benjamin Apugo has debunked the report that he endorsed the governorship candidate of APC in Abia State, High Chief Ikechi Emenike.

Prince Apugo disclosed this in his compound Nkata Ibeku Umuahia while interacting with newsmen.

He explained that Chief Emenike led some party members to inform him that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is visiting Abia State next week Tuesday and will pay him a visit after visiting the traditional rulers. The Ochiagha Ibeku added that if he had wanted to endorse Emenike, he would have invited his friends and other party heavy weights to be present.

Apugo who reiterated that his desire is to see Abia develop, insisted that the governorship candidate of the labour party in Abia State, Dr Alex Otti is a prudent person that can develop both human and infrastructure in the state.

While frowning that the government of people’s democratic party in Abia State and APC led federal government have not done anything for the state, Prince Benjamin Apugo urged Igbos as well as all Nigerians to support labour party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi whom he noted that his candidacy has removed the bad stigma other tribes have against Ndi-Igbo.

The APC chieftain maintained that he told Chief Ikechi Emenike that APC and PDP will either secure little or no vote in Abia state because of underperformance.

He added that LP governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr Alex Otti is the salvation Abia has due to his integrity.
