Awomukwu Becomes National Arena as Dr Monday Ubani Celebrates Mother’s Life at 90

Awomukwu community in Ikwuano Local Government Area took national spotlight on December 27 as renowned legal luminary and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr Barrister Monday Ubani, laid his mother, Late Nsomma Gladys Ubani, to rest in a ceremony that blended honour, culture, and celebration.

From the early hours of the day, the usually calm town witnessed an unusual influx of dignitaries, turning the burial into a convergence of power, influence, and tradition. Abia State appeared to be on pause as guests arrived from across the country.

The ambience of the event spoke of intention and excellence. Colourful decor, warm reception, and seamless coordination reflected a family determined to celebrate a fulfilled life rather than dwell in sorrow.

Dr Ubani and his wife were visibly moved as they received guests and honoured their mother and mother in law with dignity and gratitude, celebrating her 90 years of impact and values.

Political significance was underscored by the presence of Abia State Governor Alex Otti and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, alongside senators and lawmakers at both federal and state levels.

The burial also attracted celebrities and business leaders, including music star KCee Limpopo, veteran actor Kanayo O Kanayo, and businessman E Money, adding glamour to the occasion.

In appreciation, Dr Barrister Monday Ubani thanked God and all who stood with his family, noting that the overwhelming show of love turned a moment of loss into a celebration of legacy, unity, and enduring values.
