In a colorful celebration that blended the joys of the festive season with the love, cheerfulness and togetherness of family, political associates, business moguls, family, friends and well-wishers gathered in great numbers at Mbubo in Isialangwa North Local Government Area of Abia, the country home of Chief Eric Opah, in a festive celebration marking the birthdays of his beloved wife, Christiana Opah. The awesome event also featured the birthday of two children, Michelle and Fortune.

The event which attracted friends from far and near, held amidst the yuletide cheer, was an embodiment of family bonds, festive spirit and the power of friendship.

The gathering exuded a sense of warmth and entertainment that filled the air as friends and loved ones came together to honor Christiana, Michelle and Fortune. The celebration, which was a unique blend of the holiday season and family milestones, featured heartfelt moments that were cherished by all in attendance.

Guests decked out in stunning attires with joyous moments, adding to the glamour of the occasion.From elegantly designed dresses to sharply tailored senators, everyone appeared radiant and perfectly suited for the event.

Chief Eric Opah, who is well-known for his charismatic presence and influential role in both the business and political circles, welcomed all with open arms.

His country home recorded a beehive of activities, with the civil centre he single handedly built, being adorned with festive decorations, making it the perfect setting for this memorable event. With the vibrant energy of the holiday season in full swing, it was clear that the gathering was more than just a celebration, it was a reflection of the deep ties of friendship and loyalty among the Opah family and their close-knit community.

As is customary with such grand occasions, the entertainment was nothing short of spectacular, the guests were treated to a lavish array of cuisine that satisfied both the palate and the soul. From traditional Christmas delicacies to expensive wines and liquor. Indeed the food was a feast to behold. The flavors of the season came alive as guests savored every bite, making the celebration even more special.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the heartfelt tribute to Christiana Opah and their two children. In speeches and toasts, friends and family expressed their admiration for Christiana’s grace and resilience, and the promise of the future embodied in Michelle and Fortune.

In his Speech, the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti,who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, appreciated God for triple celebration in the Opah’s family. According to him, Eric Opah has always been an embodiment of love and support, which is why he took out time of his busy schedule to reciprocate his gestures.

Gov Otti described Chief Eric Opah as a passionate Nsulu son,who has given greatly to the development of Nsulu, Abia State and Nigeria at large. He said friends came far and near to celebrate a forthright man, whose personality traits have brought tremendous successes to his business and family.

He congratulated the Opah’s family and urged Chief Opah to continue making the sacrifices that have kept his family intact in love, urging others to emulate the virtue of taking sacrifices for impactful living.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman on the Occasion, Prof Sam Erugo (SAN)who flew all the way from Lagos State to felicitate with the Opahs, could not contend his joy. Himself and his beautiful wife were seen smiling uncontrollably to the beautiful encomium been unleashed on the Opah’s family.

Recounting his journey with Eric Opah,
In an interview, Prof Erugo described Opah as a compassionate, honest and loving individual, whose deep affection for his family has become the focus of the celebration. While extending his wishes for more prosperous years to the celebrants, he encouraged families to prioritize God and pray against adversities that may hinder the success of their marriages.

Also, a distinguished son of Ngwa land, Chief Ncheta Elvis Omerekpe, Offor Ndigbo, who is also Chief Eric Opah’s cousin, extended his goodwill to his brother and the entire family, praising them for their valuable contributions to community development.

Chief Eric Opah, visibly proud of his family, expressed his gratitude for the love and support that had helped them build such a strong foundation. His words were touching, and the warmth in his voice resonated with everyone present.

For Christiana, Michelle and Fortune, the occasion was made even more special with personal messages from family members and close friends, celebrating their growth and achievements. The joy in their hearts was evident as they beamed with happiness, surrounded by those who loved and supported them unconditionally.

Recall, that Chief Eric Opah had earlier distributed palliatives of bags of rice, wrappers and cash gifts to women of his community in celebration of the yuletide, which coincided with the birthday of his wife, Mrs Ogechi Christy Opah and his two children, Michelle and Fortune Opah.

Addressing the women in the morning hours of Christmas, Chief Opah, pointed out that the essence of the gathering, was in the spirit of the yuletide season, which has also became a norm for his family to distribute items every year, adding that the gesture became more imperative this year, amidst the biting economic realities.

He said it was a thing of joy that his family journeyed for a whole year and returned to the community in good health and stressed that what they did, was in appreciation of the mercies of God and the prayers the people of Mbubo have continuously extended to them.

Opah, however, acknowledged that Mbubo women had always stood firmly by him and his family, rendering prayers and supplications unto the Lord, stressing that the wrappers, rice, among other items were given for them to enjoy the season, while appealing to them to continue praying for his family in all they do.

Mrs Ogechi Christy Opah, explained that the purpose of the gathering was to celebrate mothers during the yuletide season, emphasizing that they truly deserve love, care and compassion.

She expressed that her family has been greatly blessed by God’s faithfulness and in gratitude, they have made it a tradition to extend such gestures to women, recognizing it as an annual commitment.

When asked about the motivation behind this annual gesture, Mrs Opah shared that it was a habit she developed from a young age, believing that giving brings greater blessings. She also encouraged mothers to engage in meaningful activities, no matter how small, to enrich their lives.

The women of Mbubo further availed the opportunity to commend Chief Eric Opah, for his magnanimity over the years, as he has continually attended to the needs of the Mbubo people.

Among those that graced the unique birthday celebration were, Chief Geshan Amuta, the member representing Isialangwa North and South Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Ginger Onwusibe and a host of other dignitaries.
