In the spirit of Christmas and Boxing Day, an Abia-born business mogul, Chief Kingsley Amaechi-Offor, has distributed 3,000 bags of rice and cash to orphanage homes, groups and organisations across Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
Speaking during visits to some of the beneficiary homes and at his country home in Umuana Ndume Ibeku, Chief Amaechi-Offor, who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kingso Global, said the gesture was in line with the spirit of the season and in obedience to biblical injunctions on love and charity.
He explained that the outreach has become an annual ritual aimed at identifying with orphanage homes, community groups and associations, especially during the yuletide period, when the less privileged deserve care and support.

Chief Amaechi-Offor commended the management of the orphanage homes for their humanitarian services to society, praying God to strengthen and sustain them in their selfless efforts.
He also advised individuals and organisations to always identify with the needy in their communities, assuring that good deeds attract immense rewards.
Correspondent Ifeanyi Ogbonna reports that beneficiary institutions and groups include Ahiaeke Motherless Home, St. Vincent de Paul, School for the Blind Afara, Available Shoulders Home, churches, Umuada Umuana, Umuana Community, Umuohu Azueke, Omenukoaku Cabinet, Kingso Disciples, Ukejimba Age Grade and the Ndume Otuka Unity Cup Organising Committee.
