The former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2023 elections, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, on Sunday joined family, friends, and well-wishers of Mr. Promise Uzoma Okoro, the Abia State Chairman of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), as they dedicated their son to God.
The dedication ceremony took place at Power Word Assembly in Umuahia, where Dr. Anyaso worshipped alongside the Okoro family. The service was officiated by Pastor Uche Umeh, who also hosted the guests after the spiritual gathering.
Speaking after the service, Dr. Anyaso commended the minister for his commitment to the work of God.
“I thank Pastor Umeh for the warm reception and for creating such a spirit-filled atmosphere. It’s always uplifting to be in the presence of fellow believers,” he said. “Despite the many challenges of ministry, he continues to show tenacity and dedication. He is truly a soul winner.”
The celebration continued at the home of Mr. Okoro, where Dr. Anyaso, accompanied by key Bende Stakeholders, extended his goodwill to the family. He congratulated them on the successful dedication of their son, Divine Kelechi Uzoma, and reflected on the deeper meaning of the event.
“Moments like this remind us of the enduring value of faith, family, and friendship,” Anyaso said. “I thank God for the gift of this child and pray that Divine Kelechi grows in wisdom, health, and grace.”
He also praised Promise Uzoma Okoro for his contributions to both politics and online media development in Abia State.
“Promise is a good man, and someone who continues to make meaningful contributions to our political discourse and online media space. I am proud to associate with him,” Anyaso added.
In his remarks, Mr. Uzoma Okoro expressed gratitude to Dr. Anyaso for attending the event despite his busy schedule.
“We are truly honoured by your presence,” he said. “Your support means a lot to my family. May God continue to bless you, protect you, and grant you journey mercies.”
The event was well attended by dignitaries, media professionals, friends, and members of the church community, all of whom shared in the joyous celebration.
