He stated that they serve as preasure groups some times and need to lobby and appeal to the government to pay attention to their clusters, and all of that require effective communication.
Mr Adegbemi said they dived into public speaking to teach them how to communicate well and how they can prepare their message, how they can deliver their message and how to deliver their need appropriately using the right medium, the right language to pass the message.
King also handled team development, stressing that as leaders, they work with teams, because no leader can survive alone. He noted that the team need to work with people and need to understand the people and being careful because of emotional intelligence which is an integral part of leadership.
He stated that the three major skills for any leader to succceasful, needs the cognitive ability, technical ability and the greatest emotional intelligence.
According to him, the skills help leaders to interact with people and understand how to be self aware, understand how to self manage yourself, understand social awareness, understand relationship management.
He maintained that all these are the four domains of emotional intelligence and they are very critical if you will be succceasful as a leader, “because one of the things i observe with disability persons probably because of the label the society has placed on them for very long time, they tend to be very aggressive by nature because they feel people want to take advantage of them, some delibrately abuse them, take advantage of their weaknesses, because of that, some of them tend to be unnecesserrily agitated and angry.
