Ladies and Gentlemen
I sincerely thank the good people of Abia State, my home, for their overwhelming support in projecting my leadership qualities towards occupying the office of Deputy President General Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, and the nomination forms which they also facilitated.
Consequently, I appeal to the entire Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide to see this gesture of Abians in considering my person for such office.
As a mission, I submit myself with great humility and sincerity to uphold the dignity of the Igbo race by preaching for total commitment and display of love, peace and unity and steadfastness among our “brothers and sisters” irrespective of our diverse cultural heritage and political affiliations.
I was born to the family parenthood of late Chief and Ugwudi Matthew Ihemenadu Nwankwo, a retired astute Teacher, Administrator, Politician and Farmer. Like my late father I was born with the nativity of Umuajiji Isieke Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State.
Apart from the usual home training, I passed through further educational training and vocations at Isieke Central School, Isieke Ibeku, Evangel High School Old Umuahia, School of Health Technology Aba and Universities such as ASUTECH, ESUT, ABSU and MOUAU. I have to my credit very sound educational qualifications such as-
- WASC Div. II,
- Diploma in Public Health,
- B.Sc. (Hons) in Parasitology/Entomology,
- PGD in Public Administration,
- MPA in Public Administration,
- M.Sc. in Public Health,
- PGD in Education, &
- Ph.D in Public Health Education.
I have remained a Business man, Teacher and Administrator in Public Institutions. I am presently the Dean and Chief Lecturer at Madonna College of Health Technology, Umuahia. I was a past Director of Primary Health Care System in the Abia State Local Government Service Commission.
In Community Services; I occupy till now some important positions in the traditional institution of my people, Ibeku Umuahia as Ezeogo (Village Head), Onowu (Traditional Prime Minister) and formerly Ode-Akwukwo (Cabinet/Palace Secretary of Ogurube IV of Ibeku Ancient Kingdom).
Socially, I am a very interactive personality having been a mixed breed. I am currently the Chairman of Ugwumba Age Grade because I believe in the benefits of the Organized Age Grade System of the Igbo people. On the political divide, I have in the past tried occupying elective positions which has left me tasting membership of the Non-party system and others like DPN, PDP and APC.
I’m basically a Christian, a Member of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Umuahia. I am married to a wife and I have Children.
Ladies and Gentlemen – Ohanaeze Ndigbo 2025 Congress, please, as a matter of consensus, I need your support Physically, Spiritually and otherwise and I promise I will not let you down.
