PCRC Abia State Makes Case to Support Police Efforts

The Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Abia State Command, Chief Iheanyi Igboanulam has reiterated the Clarion call for political office holders and well to do individuals of the society to support and assist the Nigeria Police in their untiring efforts to protect lives and property.

Chief Igboanulam who made the call while inspecting newly installed solar powered street lights at Ndiegoro, CPS Aba, Ogbor Hill Divisions and Scissors squad in Aba, by the Member representing ABA Central State constituency, Mr. Akachukwu Ucheonye, commended the honorable member for embarking on the life saving project.

The State PCRC Chairman described security as everybody’s business and called on other political office holders and good spirited individuals of the society to continue to support and assist the Nigeria Police to discharge their duties optimally.

Also speaking, the Member representing ABA Central State constituency Mr. Akachukwu Ucheonye said the installation of the solar powered street lights was the first phase of the project adding that the second phase will soon commence and thanked the State PCRC Chairman Chief Igboanulam for making out time to embark on the inspection tour.

Expressing their gratitude, the DPO in charge of Ndiegoro Police Division, Frank Omelu, his CPS Aba and Ogbor Hill Counterparts, Chidi Okpalaeke and Michael Ayuba, including the Tactical Commander of Scissors squad Unit Aba, Emeka Ogbakini said the Solar Street Lights would enhance security in the Police formations and thanked Me Akachukwu Ucheonye for the wonderful initiative.

Our Correspondent reports that Councillors from different wards in ABA Central State Constituency, the PCRC State Deputy Chairman Mazi Okey Obioha and the SA to the State PCRC Chairman on General Duties Pastor Stanley Omenai were present during the inspection tour.
