Women leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, have passed vote of confidence on the State chairman of the Party, Elder Abraham Amah and the entire State Working Committee (SWC),as well as, the State Executive Committee (SEC).
The women leaders drawn from the 17 Local Government Areas and three Senatorial Districts of Abia State, including the State Woman Leader, reaffirmed unwavering confidence in the leadership of the party’s State Chairman, Elder Abraham Amah and his team for their commitment in imbibing discipline and fostering unity among party members.
In a communiqué issued after an extensive meeting at the PDP State Secretariat, Umuahia, the women leaders commended the new leadership of the party for their dedication to repositioning the party and promoting internal democracy.

According to them, the ongoing reconciliation and disciplinary measures taken by the state leadership to restore order and strengthen party discipline, are highly commendable, describing them as right steps toward ensuring the stability and progress of the PDP in Abia State.
Recall that the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Abia few days ago, suspended its Board of Trustee Chairman, Sen Adolphus Wabara over alleged anti-party activities.
The women leaders hinted that as party stakeholders, they firmly believe that a disciplined, united and progressive party leadership is essential for the success of the PDP in future elections and in delivering good governance to the people of Abia State.
They pledged their unwavering loyalty, support and cooperation to the leadership of the party under Elder Abraham Amah and urged all members to remain steadfast in their commitment to the unity and progress of the party.
The PDP women,however, reiterated their dedication to upholding the ideals of the PDP and working tirelessly to strengthen the party and advance its vision for the people of Abia State.
Speaking earlier, the State Chairman, Elder Abraham Amah, charged the women to be more proactive in their localities by mobilizing more women into the party. He emphasized that all hands must be on deck to rebuild the party, urging them to initiate programs and visitations to party leaders that would keep them actively engaged in party affairs.
Amah also called for the women’s support in reclaiming the party’s mandate, while advising them to balance their leadership roles with family responsibilities and encouraged them to take care of their children and husbands, stressing that being women leaders should not lead to being abusive or disrespectful to their spouses.
The PDP Chairman further pledged his unwavering support to the women to help them achieve their goals within the party.
