It was a moment of joy as the Project Director, project Dorcas Foundation, Evangelist Uche Ama Ohaka has encouraged inmates to bury ego and embrace brokenness as God sees the heart of men.
Evangelist Ohaka gave the encouragement during their visit to umuahia correctional center on Monday, December 13th, 2021.
Uche who spoke on the advantage of brokenness, took his Bible reference from Daniel chapter four verse thirty three through thirty six, charged the inmates to borrow wisdom from the story of Nebuchadnezzar in the scripture who was broken and ask God for forgiveness which God restored his senses, adding that God is still a merciful God who forgives unconditionally.
He further charged the inmates not to take correctional services as punishment center, rather to take it as a time of brokenness they can genuinely turn away from wrong doing and embrace good life in Christ Jesus.
His words read in parts “Our visit to the Nigeria Prisons (Correctional Centre) Afara Umuahia on Monday under PROJECT DORCAS FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL was such a great and emotional outing”.
“Yes, we went with food and drinks for the inmates and by His grace every Prison inmate in Umuahia that day was fed. We shared Bibles and books to them. But my GREATEST JOY was the moment we preached the undiluted word of God and led many to Christ. I’m so fulfilled!”
“We paid fines/bails for some Inmates to be discharged. Some of them will spend Christmas with their family members this year after many years behind the bar”.
“We are returning early next year to arrange, sponsor and provide legal representation for some who cannot afford lawyers for their court cases. We shall also be registering WAEC 2022 for some inmates”.
“We can’t thank our partners enough. Thanks for standing by us. The Lord bless you”. We give God all the praise.”
Thanks Uwalaka Uchechukwu and other members of our team.
