SEBRIKAN widow’s sisters International empowers women with skill acquisition

About 50 Widows have been trained in Liquid Soap production by SEBRIKAN widow’s sisters International.

Speaking during the event held at Umuachama – Amamba, Uzuakoli , Bende LGA of Abia State last weekend, the Program Coordinator of the Organization, Mrs Ogechi Akparanta who represented the Founder, Lady Bridget Ifenyinwa Akparanta said the organization carried out the empowerment program as a way of encouraging and supporting the widows to be self reliant especially at this moment of economic hardship in the nation.

According to her, the organization aims in the ongoing efforts was to empower rural women and promised to engage them on more ventures, like hair dressing.

Speaking on behalf of other widows, Mrs Nnenna Enyi thanked the Founder of SEBRIKAN for her support and love towards them and prayed that God will continue to bless her and other members of the organizatio, while calling upon the government to look into their plights of widows by empowering them more through various government intervention programs.

Correspondent reports that highpoints of the event were Inauguration of the Umuachama – Amamba, Uzuakoli Chapter of the organization and entertainment of participants called happy hour.
