Chief Whip of the Senate and two-term Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) on Friday January 7th, 2022 paid a courtesy visit to Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (OVI) at his country home, Umuobiakwa in Obingwa LGA of Abia State.
According to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s Facebook post, the two leaders had fruitful discussion, while he used the opportunity to remind Ikpeazu of the need to pay attention to the deplorable Umuahia -Uzuakoli-Akara-Alayi-Ohafia –Abiriba road.
Orji, who is representing Abia North in the national assembly, said in his kindness, Governor Ikpeazu promised to take action on the road as he looked forward to a better Abia.
Meanwhile, the visit of Orji Uzor Kalu to Governor Ikpeazu has sparked many speculations considering that 2022 is a very crutial year that would determine who succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari and Abia State government house come 2023 general election.
But, Senator Orji in his Facebook post clarified that his visit was to call on Governor Ikpeazu to look towards the all important Umuahia-Uzoakoli-Akara-Abiriba road which is in a bad sorry situation.
