World Pharmacists Day: We Collaborate Govt Agencies to Mitigate Quackery, Pharm Chinedu.

The young pharmacist group is assuring the public that they will sustain their collaboration with various agencies of government to end quacks who are abusing the use of drugs in the society.
The State Coordinator, Young Pharmacists Group of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria Abia state chapter, Urukwem Chinedu stated this while interacting with National Watch to mark the World Pharmacists Day observed 25th of September every year.
This year’s theme is “Pharmacy: Always trusted for your health“, as Chinedu emphasizes that Trust is a central part of all human relationships and essential in rendering their service. 
In addition, trust is also essential to health care: there is a significant association between trust in healthcare professionals and health outcomes for patients. 
According to him, pharmacists’ inspection committee, PIC also assist to mitigate the negative effects of fake people who pose as pharmacists.

He added that the purpose of World Pharmacists Day is not only to appreciate what pharmacists are doing, but to support their contributions in the society.
According to him, quacks are found in most all the profession, but the pharmacitical council of Nigeria, NAFDAC, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA among others are government agencies that assist to check the activities of quackery.
Research shows that trust is a central part of all human relationships and a fundamental element of social capital. Trust is also essential to health care: there is a significant association between trust in healthcare professionals and health outcomes for patients.
Moreso, Across diverse clinical settings, patients reported greater satisfaction with treatment, showed more beneficial health behaviours and fewer symptoms, and experienced improved quality of life when they had higher trust in their healthcare professionals.
On her part, Pharmacist Osinachi Eunice Onumajurusaid they embarcked on live radio program today as part of their efforts to enlighten the public on things they need to know about pharmacists, the dangers associated with drug abuse and proper orientation why people must consult properly before using drugs.

However, experts said WPD which was brought to life at the international federation of pharmacist Council 2009 in Istanbul, is to encourage activities that promote and advocate the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world.
