2022 Vision Africa Icon Music Reality Show Records Huge Success

History was made on Sunday 6th November, 2022 as Master Kama Chukwueme, a veterinary student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike won the 2022 icon music reality show organised in commemoration with the 25th anniversary of Vision Africa International held at Dr Michael Okpara auditorium Umuahia on the theme, “come let us build”.

In his remark, the President of Vision Africa International, Bishop Sunday Onuoha congratulated the winner, as well as other contestants for their doggedness, saying that Vision Africa has used her various programs to build people.

Bishop Onuoha stated that the icon music reality show has showcased the contestants to other opportunities with the recording deal of icon winners for nine years. He stated that the organization decided to honour those who have touched lives positively to encourage them to do more.

According to him, the music competition has been made transparent and charged people to build themselves on good character, rather than focusing on wealth.

The co-chairman of the occasion, Jickson Iheme and chairperson, miss Olumachi Nwachukwu congratulated Vision Africa for using their programs and activities to restore lives and healings.

Jickson revealed that he wanted to commit suicide because of frustration but a message from Vision Africa Radio program saved him, while Olumachi encouraged people to emulate the motto of Vision Africa, which is sharing God’s love.

The winner of the 2022 Icon music reality show, Master Kama Chukwueme who hails from Okunaku Ohafia LGA of Abia State thanked Vision Africa for creating opportunities for people to discover their talents and promised to remain a good ambassador of the organization. He also thanked other contestants for their coordination during the event.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of Uzoakoli motherless babies home, Mary Corput and the matron of Ahiaeke compassionate home, Reverend sister Anita Ogbonna commended Vision Africa for honouring them with awards of exceptional personality 2022.

As part of the activities to mark the 25th year anniversary of Vision Africa, the president of Vision Africa International, Bishop Sunday Onuoha said the organization decided to honour them for touching lives positively.

Others who received the exceptional personality award 2022 were Mr Ikechukwu Chimbuo, a tricycle operator in umuahia who returned a huge sum of money forgotten in his tricycle to the owner and Mr Edwin Nwabueze who is taking care of his bedridden wife for forty years.

In the same vein, Sergeant Joy Nwogu a traffic officer at Bende road by finbars Umuahia was also honored for being dutiful in her service and Miss Olumachi Nwachukwu, as a consistent guest of children’s program in Vision Africa Radio.

Presenting the awards, Bishop Onuoha said that character is the ultimate thing people should build for themselves.

Responding, some of the awardees including Mrs Mary Corput, Rev sister Ogbonna said they are passionate about the welfare of children, while Ikechukwu and sergeant Joy joined them to thank Vision Africa for giving them encouragement with the award they received.

Highpoints of the event were presentation of a five hundred thousand naira cheque to the winner and the cutting of the anniversary cake.
