2023: Apugo Pledges Support for Ohuhu People, Ikwuano for Senate, Cautions PDP Against Unfair Treatment

The member representing Umuahia East State Constituency in Abia state House of Assembly, Hon Chukwudi Apugo is cautioning the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Abia State chapter to be fair in dealing with issues surrounding their choice of candidates in 2023 general elections.
Hon Apugo gave the advice while interacting with our correspondent in Umuahia. 
According to him, considering Abia State senatorial districts, Abia North should produce the Governor candidate and argued that by Abia charter of equity, Old Aba division from Ngwa central should produce the next governor. 
The law makerexplained that since Orji Uzor Kalu finished his tenure and handed over to his brother from Old Bende, (Theodore Orji), there is nothing wrong for Okezie Ikpeazu to finish and hand over to his Ngwa brother.
He also disclosed that Ohuhu people should produce the next House of Representatives for Ikwuano Umuahia federal constituency, adding that Standley Ohajuruka from Ibeku has gone with Sam Onuigbo who is the incumbent.
He insisted that no Ibeku man has declared interest, therefore, Ohuhu people should stand firm and take what belongs to them and promised to support them both in cash, campaign and otherwise.
“In his words, Hon Apugo warmed that if PDP failed to give Ohuhu man ticket for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, the party will fail election”. I will also campaign for them, match they money to money to elect an Ohuhu person at the federal house.
                            
Hon Chukwudi Apugo maintained that the senatorial seat should go to Ikwuano, if the Umunneato from Abia central should produce the next governor of the state according to PDP prayer.
Chukwudi Apugo further discloses that he will not context any post again come 2023, but has giving opportunity for younger generation to come up.
He also told our correspondent that he had served as chairman, house committee on finance and account and tourism.
The law maker advised Abia state government to harness the potentials of Abia tourism sites.
