2023 Election: Emenike Inaugurates 1,740 Guber Campaign Council

The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Abia State, High Chief Ikechi Emenike has inaugurated his governorship campaign council and charged the members to work as a team to rescue and develop the Abia state.

While unveiling the council, the governorship candidate of the Party cum the chairman of the campaign council, High Chief Ikechi Emenike charged them to work inline with the mission of the party to rescue and develop the state. He added that God has destined them to reclaim the government house and deliver good governance to the people.

The campaign council of one thousand seven hundred and forty members has High Chief Uche Ogboso as the Director General, Chidi Avaja as the Secretary among others, with expectations that they will work as a team and stay focused to achieve the said goal of the party.

Chief Emenike also noted that the state is backward and must be rescued.

In her speech, the deputy governorship candidate, Rev Gloria Akara, enjoined members of the campaign council and all party faithful to dedicate their energy, time and resources to drive “the wheel of progress successfully.

On his part, the Director General of the council, High Chief Uche Ogboso thanked the party for finding him worthy of the job and pledged to serve with accountability and transparency to move the party to the promised land.

Other party stakeholders who spoke at the event, including a former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu and Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Martin Azubuike promised to the governorship candidate to make the party take over the control of Abia State.

The event which was akin to a campaign rally was attended by thousands of party members that converged at the party’s secretariat along Azikiwe road, Umuahia. These include serving as well as former ministers, party candidates, six retired army generals, including three former GOCs, former Commandant, Nigeria Army School of Infantry, Jaji and former Director Military Intelligence.
