Mazi Chukwubuike Jonas has emerged the governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party, ADP in Abia State for the 2023 general elections.
The returning officer of the election, Benjamin Arisa announced that Chibuike Jonas emerged unopposed through affirmation voice votes and confirmed that other candidates for other positions have also emerged.
In his acceptance speech, Mazi Chibuike Jonas said he is not contesting because of selfish interest, but stressed that Abia state has been badly managed.
According to Jonas, his emergence is of God to bring back normalcy in Abia state especially workers welfare. He noted that paying salaries is not an achievement because a worker deserves his wage, hence, he pledged not to neglect the right of workers.
Jonas one time chairman of Arochukwu local government area said he has come to serve and not not to rule, just as he promised to bring sanity in Abia State.
As Aba brought up, the ADP Governorship Candidate frowned over the deplorable condition of Aba and assured that he will replicate what he did as a local government chairman in Abia, if elected governor.
