2023 Guber: Otti Emerges Labour Party Candidate, Promises to Restore the Lost Glory of Abia State

One of the famous economist in Abia state, Dr Alex Otti has emerged the governorship candidate of labour party in Abia and promised to reduce cost of governance and use his salary for humanitarian work in the state. 
The returning officer who is also the national vice chairman south east of labour party, comrade Innocent Okeke, flanked by the State chairman of the party, Ceekee Igara said Otti polled a total of 454 unopposed votes through option A4 held in Umuahia.
In his acceptance speech, Dr Alex Otti said his emergence is divine and stressed that no one can stop what God has ordained, just as he described labour party as the natural home for workers and vibrant populace.
According to Otti, his victory at the general elections will pull the state from poverty, insecurity, nonpayment of salaries and pensions, while urging Abians to move with courage.
While promising to clear all arrears owed to workers within his first one year in office, Otti noted that the issues bothering Abia requires managerial acumen, as such, he would attract investors with already infrastructural investment and promised to create ease of doing business, as well create jobs. 
The Abia labour party governorship candidate further pledged to ensure free and accessible education and promised to pay greater attention to healthcare sector.

“I will build a hospital city and embark on agricultural programs that will sustain food security in our state”.
“Another important message you must take home is to inform your neighbours about the good news of today. Secondly, use the remaining three weeks to register for INEC permanent voter cards, if you have not done so”
The member representing Isialangwa north and south federal constituency, Hon Darlington Nwokocha was elected Abia Central Senate  candidate. 
The state law maker representing Isialangwa north constituency, Chief Ginger Onwusibe was elected candidate for Isialangwa north and south federal constituency. 
The duo with other candidates urged labour party members to be courageous, assuring that they will secure many positions in next year’s general elections. The candidates also advised Abians to arm themselves with permanent voter cards.
