The 11the chairman, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Abia State chapter, town planner Stephen Chukwudi Nwazue has thanked the institute, the fathers and elders for encouraging the younger ones to assume positions of leadership.
Nwazue stated this while presenting his speech after his investiture as the state chapter chairman and the executive held at Unique life Continental Hotel and Suits, Umuahia, Abia State.
He called on the political leaders to please open their doors to the institute whenever they call on them for one assistance or the other.
TPL Nwazue promised that the institute will sustain and improve the relationship with Abia State government, while pledging that they will continue to seek for synergy and partnership with government of the day and provide support in line with their area of core professional competence to enhance the physical planning and development of Abia State.
He also urged the public to seek the services of the town planners before embarking on their physical development projects, as this will enable them serve better and produce a decent and organised Abia State that everyone deserves.
Highpoints of the event were the oath of office taken by the new executive administered by Barrister Olunkwa Ifeanyi, cutting of investiture cake, presentation of certificate of return and cultural entertainment by Abia State Arts and Culture.
