A renowned diplomat and philanthropist, Hon. Ikechukwu Gbaruko, has officially joined the race for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat under the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Hon. Gbaruko, an indigene of Umuohu Okpula Ndume Ibeku, is a seasoned politician and Port Harcourt-based maritime expert who has over the years committed himself to programmes aimed at improving the living standards of the people within and outside Abia State.
Popularly known as “SUPI,” Hon. Gbaruko is the initiator of the “Predict and Win” programme in Ndume Ibeku, a platform that has impacted many lives at the grassroots level.
Supporters believe that his leadership experience, philanthropic activities and people-oriented approach will usher in effective and progressive representation for the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
They expressed confidence that Hon. Ikechukwu Gbaruko possesses the capacity, vision and experience needed to bring a new era of quality representation and development to the constituency.
