The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Kingsley Ifeanyi Ekwuruibe, has pledged to pursue people-centred representation focused on community development, accountability and improved opportunities for constituents.
Ekwuruibe, who described his aspiration as a commitment to giving the people a stronger voice in the State House of Assembly, said his proposed agenda would focus on issues affecting communities across Umuahia South.
According to him, priority areas include youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, economic opportunities and community development.
The PDP candidate also said he would work to ensure that the concerns of communities across the constituency, including Olokoro, receive proper attention at the state legislative level.
He said his intention was not merely to occupy a seat in the House of Assembly, but to use the position to communicate the aspirations of the people and pursue practical solutions to challenges confronting the constituency.
Ekwuruibe further pledged to support programmes aimed at creating opportunities for young people and women, while promoting transparency, accountability and meaningful engagement between the people and their elected representative.
He urged the people of Umuahia South to assess candidates based on their programmes, public statements, records and their stated approach to representation.
The candidate said he was seeking the mandate of the people to serve and work with them towards what he described as a stronger future for Umuahia South.
He added that a mandate carries responsibility and that representation requires an elected official to remain connected to the people and communities they represent.
Hon. Kingsley Ifeanyi Ekwuruibe is the PDP candidate for the Abia State House of Assembly, Umuahia South State Constituency.
