One Bishop Jeremiah Henshaw of Nation of Christ Destiny Assembly ministries international, of No. 27 Mission Hills Umuahia accused of Defiling a fourteen years househelp regained freedom from court on Tuesday, 15th March 2022.
The Zone 9 Police Umuahia had arrested Bishop Jeremiah Henshaw who they said confessed of having carnal knowledge of his underage house help.
According to a press release signed by the police public relations officer, zone 9, SP George Okafor for assistant inspector general of police, made available to newsmen titled “Desecration of the Altar of God by self acclaimed Bishop Jeremiah Henshaw” said they received the credible information on the 2nd of March 2022, by the police operative of zone 9 police Headquarters Umuahia.
The release said police swung into action and the Bishop was arrested and interrogated, adding that he confessed to have defiled the 14 year old girl in his statement, stating that he was unprotected while having carnal knowledge of the victim.
The release said the accuser claimed that it was his first time of such humorous relationship with the victim and will appear in court as soon as investigation is completed.
Following this ugly development, the Zone 9 Headquarters hereby advised parents to be weary of the type of persons they entrust their children to.
The PPRO zone 9 also enjoined members of the public to provide the police with credible and timely information on crime and criminalities, in order to enable the police to ride the zone of criminal elements.
The Police also forwarded the release to other media organisations across Nigeria.
