The Deputy General Manager of the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA), Umuahia Zone, Catechist Ambrose Jonah, has endorsed the forthcoming Abia Central Labour Party Youth Rally scheduled for October 31, 2026.
Jonah announced his support while receiving members of the rally’s planning committee, led by the Abia State Labour Party Youth Leader, Hon. Uche Nwagbuo.
He described the rally as a timely initiative capable of promoting youth productivity, political participation and development in Abia State.
The ASEPA official also declared support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti in 2027, arguing that a second term would enable the administration to consolidate its development programmes.

Jonah said his support for the governor was informed by what he described as visible improvements across the state, including development projects and interventions at the ward, local government and state levels.
According to him, Governor Otti’s emergence marked a turning point in Abia’s history, with renewed attention to economic development and improved governance.
He maintained that re-electing the governor would provide an opportunity for Abians to acknowledge the administration’s achievements and sustain its development agenda.
The environmental scientist further noted that the present administration had created opportunities for young people to showcase their talents and pursue career development through innovative initiatives.

Earlier, Nwagbuo commended Jonah for his longstanding political commitment, particularly his involvement in the quest for a change of leadership in Abia State since 2014 and 2015.
He said Jonah had remained committed to purposeful leadership and the developmental vision associated with Governor Otti.
The Labour Party youth leader also praised the ASEPA deputy general manager for supporting young people, especially youths from Ikwuano who were eager to contribute to positive change in the state.
He cited the Ikwuano Youth Leader, Mr. Frank, as an example of emerging youth leadership benefiting from such support.
Nwagbuo assured Jonah that Labour Party youths would remain vigilant in protecting their votes and advocating a free, fair and credible electoral process in the state.
In their separate remarks, the Abia Central Zonal Youth Leader, Mr. Eze Ezebuiro, and the Chairman of the Abia Central Youth Rally Planning Committee, Mr. Kelechi Imo, said their visit was to formally inform Jonah about the rally scheduled for October 31.
They also commended him for his efforts towards environmental cleanliness and improved sanitation in Abia State, noting that residents had witnessed what they described as significant improvements in environmental management.
The meeting ended with renewed expressions of support for youth participation, purposeful leadership and the continued development of Abia State.
