Abia State Police Command on Thursday 3rd February, 2022 evening embarked on massive arrest of hair stylists and customers as well as traders along Lagos street by Niger road Umuahia.
According to National Watch correspondent, the massive arrest followed the sudden death of one man knows driven license card gave his name as Ndukwe Kalu Kalu in his late 60s who slumped and died Wednesday afternoon along Lagos street.
Our correspondent captured that the police blocked the entrance and exit of the road from Niger road and Grace and Mercy pharmacy point with their vans, while arresting the hair stylists with allegedly their clients as well.
However, some of those who were arrested absent on Wednesday during the incident were seen asking the Police what their offenses were for, without answer.
Our investigation revealed that the man “on getting to that point around 1pm, sat on the floor, after some minutes, he laid on the floor with his legs crossed and started to snore, after sometime, he seized to breathe”.
Meanwhile, efforts made to hear from Abia state commissioner of police, CP Janet Agbade and police public relations officer, Ogbonna Geoffrey were not answered nor text messages sent to them replied.
