The Ifeanyichukwu Political Movement has inaugurated clan coordinators for the three clans in Umuahia South State Constituency, alongside women leaders across various political wards and other key positions within the movement.
The inauguration is aimed at strengthening the movement’s organisational structure and enhancing grassroots engagement, coordination, inclusiveness and participation across Umuahia South.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Olokoro Clan Coordinator of the Ifeanyichukwu Political Movement, Mr. Andrew Okpechi, described Hon. Ifeanyi Kingsley Ekwuribe as the best candidate among those seeking to represent Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly.
Okpechi said Ekwuribe’s supporters consider his youthful energy, accessibility, commitment and connection with the grassroots as qualities that distinguish him from other candidates.
He stressed that effective representation requires a representative who is willing to listen to the people, understand their concerns and maintain meaningful engagement with constituents.
According to him, Ekwuribe has demonstrated commitment to service and community development, with his supporters identifying unity, transparency, accountability and effective representation as some of the principles they expect him to bring into public service.
Okpechi also highlighted what he described as Ekwuribe’s commitment to inclusiveness, noting that the participation of women, youths, community leaders and coordinators from different parts of Umuahia South reflects the movement’s efforts to build a broad grassroots structure.
He said the inauguration of the clan coordinators and ward women leaders goes beyond filling organisational positions, as it is intended to establish a coordinated structure capable of engaging communities, listening to constituents and mobilising support around the movement’s message.
As political activities ahead of the 2027 election continue, the Ifeanyichukwu Political Movement says it will remain focused on grassroots mobilisation, peaceful political participation, unity and a campaign centred on the future of Umuahia South.
For Ekwuribe’s supporters, his appeal is based on their expectation that his leadership would emphasise accessibility, diligence, transparency, responsiveness and commitment to the collective development of Umuahia South.
The newly inaugurated coordinators and leaders are expected to take the movement’s message to the grassroots, engage communities and ensure that the concerns of residents remain central to the political process.
