Politics and governance should never be driven by bitterness and hatred. Leadership must always be assessed based on the realities facing the people at every point in time.
At different moments, we acknowledged and commended the visible efforts of the present administration where necessary because responsible opposition must be objective and truthful. Commendation for good actions should never be mistaken for permanent political endorsement.
However, governance is not judged merely by intentions or media narratives, but by the actual impact on the lives of the people. The expectations of Abians today go beyond explanations, comparisons with the past, and endless complaints. The people desire accelerated development, improved welfare, modern infrastructure, economic expansion, and inclusive governance that matches the enormous resources available to the state.
Our decision to present an alternative vision is not borne out of malice or personal disagreement with anyone. It is driven by our conviction that Abia can develop faster, perform better, and compete favourably with leading states across Nigeria.
We believe governance must move beyond stabilization to transformation. The visible efforts recorded so far are acknowledged, but they are not commensurate with the expectations and possibilities before the state.
Abia workers deserve better welfare and improved salaries. Young people deserve greater opportunities. Communities deserve functioning roads, healthcare, security, and economic empowerment. The business environment must become more competitive and attractive to investors.
This movement is not about pulling anyone down. It is about lifting Abia higher.
As we move forward, our campaign shall remain issue-based, solution-driven, and focused on the future rather than personalities. We remain committed to presenting practical ideas and realistic policies that will unite the state, accelerate development, and improve the lives of all Abians.
A better Abia is possible, and together we can build it.
