NOA Reiterates Need for Abians to Participate in Guber & HAB Elections

Abia State Director of the National Orientation Agency NOA, Lady Chibuogwu Edede on Sunday appealed to Abians to come out en masse to vote for Governorship Candidate and House of Assembly members of their choice on Marth 11th, 2023. Lady Edede also pleaded to people to make the polls violent free.

She made the appeal when she led the management team of NOA to several Churches across the state on voter education and commended those who came out during the presidential and national assembly elections.

The State NOA director while speaking at Wesley Methodist Cathedral Umuahia, Umuahia Ecclesiastical Province of the Eternal Sacred of Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Holy Ghost Day Bible Church Amuzukwu, Saint Matthias Anglican Church Eziama Ntigha parish in Isialangwa north LGA among others urged people not to be discouraged but endeavour to come out because the process of making Abia great is a collective effort.

The Director General of NOA, Dr Gabar Abari represented by comrade Charles Nwachukwu advised Abians to reject any form of vote buying, hate speech, thuggery or any other vices but vote according to their conscience.

Dr Abari assured people of adequate security and reminded all that every challenge noticed during the presidential and national assembly elections would be amended.

Responding, the State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Apostle Emmanuel Agomoh, State President Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Bishop Chikezie Elekwa and Venerable Udo Emmanuel thanked NOA for the sensitization.

The Christian leaders enjoined people not to allow previous actions to deject them.

In their words, “people are not happy with what INEC did during the presidential and national assembly elections, but this is our state and the governor must be who the people want”.
