SSS 3 student wins N500k at Vision Africa’s Icon Reality Music Show

A 15 year- old – Senior Secondary School 3 student, Mary Joseph has won the 10th edition of has won the Icons Music Reality Show organized by Vision Africa Radio, Umuahia.

She beat other 9 contestants to win the first price of five hundred thousand naira, in the singing competition, which was attended by notable music legends, including Buchi, J.Martins and others, at Michael Okpara auditorium, Umuahia, on Sunday.

The second Prize of N300,000 went to Victor Chizurum Ngwakwe while Aso Chidinma Mercy took the third position, winning N200,000.

Apart from the rewards from the organizers, the special guest at the event and member representing the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Amobi Ogah donated N100,000 to each of the 10 contestant to encourage them while gospel singer, Bunchi offered free music recording contract to three of the contestants.

Speaking during the occasion, the president of Vision Africa International Radio, Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha ( of Methodist Church Nigeria, said the music reality show which was at its 10th edition, was put together to discover raw talents in music, and to create future global leaders.

He advised all the contestants to see themselves as winners, noting that they have been provided the platform to excel in their careers.

Bishop Onuoha who called for peace in Nigeria and Abia State, thanked God that the State is witnessing relative peace and development under Governor Alex Otti.

In his speech, Governor Alex Otti who was represented by his Chief of Staff , Pastor Caleb Ajagba, praised the President of Vision Africa International, Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha for what he is doing in discovery of music talents and the entertainment industry at large.

The Governor promised to partner Vision Africa in future events.

In his speech also, the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunnochi Federal constituency, Hon Amobi Ogah said that his constituency is now enjoying relative calm and peace away from the previous insecurity that took over the areas.

He commended the efforts of Governor Alex Otti in launching Operating Crush and advised the Governor’s political opponents against going to Court against him, as according to him, they can not win either at Appeal Court or Supreme Court.
