It was a sober moment for sympathizers, friends and well wishers including Church members of Goodnews Pentecostal Church Umuahia during the funeral of the four kids that died in umuahia after eating Suya and drinking juice.
During the funeral at Umuagu primary school, a cleric from Goodnews Pentecostal Church Umuahia, Bishop Ugochukwu Ogbonna says the journey of life does not depend in the hands of man.
Bishop Ogbonna emphasized during the burial of four children of Mr. and Mrs. Chibuzor Ikwunze, of Umukaonu Umuagu, Ohuhu in Umuahia North local government of Abia State who lost their lives on 25th August under mysterious circumstances that God in Jeremiah chapter one verse five where God says He knows what a man will be before he enters into the mother’s womb.
Speaking on the topic “the journey of this life and the call of eternity, Bishop Ogbonna maintained that everyone is a sojourner, and people are morning because the kids between the age of 3 to 11 died one day, but appreciated Mr Chibuzo and his wife for showing the kids the path of God, just as he prayed God to grant their souls peaceful rest.
According to him, when a man dies at old age, after acquiring education and wealth, people describes him as successful, but, when a kid dies, people will begin to complain, therefore, encouraged everyone to trust their hope in God, who has control over life and death.
The President general of Ohuhu, Chief Obi Aguocha and the member representing Ikwuano Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, Sam Onuigbo represented by Prince Henry Eleogu urged the bereaved family to take solace in God and joined others to pray that such incident does not befall any family again.
Obi Aguocha and Sam Onuigbo pointed out it is painful to bear such pain, but prayed God to give the family of Mr and Mrs Chibuzo Ikwunze to manage the situation.
Meanwhile, Mr Chibuzo Ikwunze, the father of the late four kids, Kelechi Chibuzor 12, Sunday Chibuzor 10, Oluomachi Chibuzor 8, and Kingsley Chibuzor 3, appreciated everyone especially the Good news Pentecostal Church for standing by him during this trial moment.
He disclosed to National Watch that the autopsy results will be out in the next two weeks amidst speculations that the kids died after eating Suya and juice, while others alleged that autopsy results indicated that the cause of the death was generator fluid.
Recall that the four kids were among the seven persons who passed on in August 25th after allegedly eating the local barbecue, popularly known as suya on in Umuahia.
