2021 VA CAROL AND NINE LESSONS, BISHOP ONUOHA MAKES CASE FOR PEACE AND RECONCILIATION

The President of Vision Africa International, Bishop Sunday Onuoha has called on Christians to embrace peace and reconciliation as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.
Bishop Onuoha who is also the Co-chair, Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, made the call during the 2021festival of carol and nine lessons organized by Vision Africa at the International conference centre, umuahia.  
He noted that programme like carol and nine lessons offers people the opportunity of reconciling with God, as well as one another, emphasizing that people must make peace for the sake of the young generation.
His words”this young generation especially the three kids that took park in the reading of the 9th lesson are not part of our security problem nor part of the economic challenge facing Nigeria, therefore, we have to call on people to throw away hatred the way Christ did and open our hearts for peace to radiat”
In his exaltation, the President Eastern Nigeria Union Conference of Seventh Day Adventists Church Nigeria, Pastor Bassey Udoh said God humbled himself through His death and later was rewarded with Glory.

Pastor Udoh urged people to emulate the humidity of Jesus whom God lifted up through various means.
According to him, the book of Psalms chapter 24 line 7 to 10, pointed out places Jesus was lifted up.
According to him, there is no condemnation for those who believed in Jesus, adding that Jesus is coming soon in Glory.
The clergy however advised Christians as they wait for Jesus to come, to do away from evil activities that would hinder God’s blessings for them.
He said that the name Jesus has been lifted above all other names and that He was highly exalted the moment he ascended into heaven. Udoh further stated that the death of Jesus on the cross was payment made for our sins and that His empty tomb was the proof of payment.
Contributing, the Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs Dr. Prince Origa urged Christians to epitomize, practice and tap the life style of Christ; embrace the core essence of Christmas which is love and shun anything that violates the rights of others and things that will bring about pains.
The Methodist Archbishop of Okigwe Diocese, Most Rev. Livinus Onuagha noted that Bishop Onuoha has broken barriers with the awesome Christmas carol and nine lessons.
The epoch-making event saw the presence of choirs and music ministers from diverse denominations and genres of music and a special performance by the Vision Africa voices. 
Among other choirs were the Salvation Army Brass Choir who garnished the audience with electrifying performances and hymnals while everyone sang along.
The occasion was graced by various clergymen and government officials among whom were the Abia State CAN Chairman- Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Agomuo and the Secretary to the State Government who was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Bereau of Economic Affairs-Engr. Onyema Franklin among other dignitaries.
Meanwhile, the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial district, Chief Enyinnaya Abaribe read the 4th lesson from the Bible book of Malachi chapter 3 verse 1 to 5.

Very Reverend Father Benedict Okike read the 5th lesson from Isaiah chapter 9 verse 1 to 7.

The Sixth lesson was taken by Jane Onuoha from the book of Isaiah chapter 9 verse 8 to 14.

The 7th lesson drawn from the Bible book of Luke chapter 2 verse 8 to 14 was read by Elder Vincent Ogbonna; Very Rev. Moses Azu read the 8th lesson from Luke Chapter 2 verse 15 to 18; while Eunice Ifeanyi read John chapter 1 verse 1 to 18 which was the the 9th lesson.
