2023: ADC Holds Congress in Abia, Promises to Sack PDP Govt

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has organized her 2022 congress, with firm believe to end bad governance in Abia state.
The Chairman of ADC, Abia state chapter, Don Norman Obinna, gave the assurance during the state Congress held at Kolping Society of Nigeria Umuahia. He vowed to destroy the foundation which he believed is hebind  bad governance being experience in Abia state.
Don Norman while stating that ADC will not step down for any political party candidate, stated that ADC is a mass movement that will liberate Abia state from its deplorable state.
According to him, it is ADC’s undying desire to win elections, adding that the party has polling units executives that would man all the polling units in Abia state. 
He lamented that graduates in Abia are now resolve to do menial jobs as a result of bad governance, unemployment and therefore, stressed that time has come for Abians to choose their leaders, instead of imposing annointed candidates on them.
In his speech, ADC Governorship aspirant and President Vision Africa International, Bishop Dr Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha while disclosing that he was given the mandate to run by the people to assist liberate their suffering, however, accepted the mandate to run for the office of Governor of Abia state. 
Bishop Onuoha noted that Abia is God’s own state and therefore, the people of Abia will choose God’s own son to alleviate their suffering. He further opined that Abia state needs a collective hands for its development.
      
Responding, the National Chairman congress committee Abia state, Mr Nkemakolam Ukandu stated that ADC has the chance to win elections. Ukandu also pointed out that ADC gave youths and women 35 percent leadership positions respectively, while the remaining 40 percent is for the rest of the people. 
While lamenting over non payment of pension and salaries in Abia state, Mr Nkemakolam noted that ADC has the “will power “to change the narrative.
           
Highpoints of the event include Oath of allegiance taken by the executives of the party, Election through affirmation and dissolution of the existing party through a motion and seconder. Meanwhile, the congress witnessed the presence of the ADC state secretary, Comrade Uche Ndom, party Deputy Chairman, Mazi Kalu O Kalu, representative from INEC, Senatorial Aspirant for, Abia Central, Hon Franklin Nwaubani among other delegates.
