Barrister Uwa
A legal icon and Abia State 2023 governorship aspirant under the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Etigwe Uwa, SAN believed that if given the opportunity to preside over the affairs of the state, he will help realise the dreams of Abia founding fathers, as the State under his watch would be rescued and reinvented.
Etigwe Uwa who interacted with newsmen in Umuahia, however reminded the electorate that the decision we make as a people come 2023 will shape our collective destiny as a people.
Uwa who pointed out that awareness remains the greatest agent for change, stressed the need for Abians to come out in oneness and reclaim the state from the very few who have not done well in governance.
His words, “There is need to dream of Abia where the mineral resources are better harnessed, to boost energy transformation, improve the garment and leather markets, where the economy of Abia will be number one, where we don’t need to go to federal allocation account committee, FAAC to look for money”.
Uwa, a prominent son of Ohafia LGA of the State envisioned a wealth creating Abia State with a strong faith that his political movement will change the narratives of the state, if duly elected as the governor of Abia State.
He expressed happiness to identify with APGA and prayed that Abia will benefit and also surpass the transformations that are happening in Anambra State.
