An aspirant for Ikwuano Umuahia House of Representatives from Ohuhu in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, Chief Dr John Kwubiri Nwadinaobi has canvassed for transparent mock election for those aspiring from Ohuhu.
Dr Nwadinaobi who briefed journalists on Tuesday in his country home, Amaogwugwu, Ohuhu, said other aspirants including himself have condemned the kangaroo election that produced the President General of Ohuhu, Chief Obi Aguocha, as a consensus aspirant from Ohuhu.
Dr Nwadinaobi insisted that he is still in the race and more acceptable by the people, but said the election was hijacked by supposed delegates who ought to be neutral.
According to him, the kangaroo election is unacceptable and cannot stand. He maintained that the election which was conducted by those (delegates) who also claimed to have bought expression and interest nomination forms for the President General of Ohuhu, Chief Obi Aguocha.
Nwadinaobi who decried that by virtue of his experience, he is the most qualified from Ohuhu having contested in 2014, 2018 and now under People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
He added that he is very much in the race and will appear during the PDP primaries for house of representatives slated to hold this Sunday May 22nd, 2022.
Nwadinaobi sited alot of bias in the kangaroo election, adding that the porputed body that conducted the shady election informed them about it less than twenty four hours on Sunday night 15th May against 16th Monday May. He further expressed shock that his people could practice such primitive life and maintained that four other aspirants have condemned and rejected the process.
His words, “any move to narrow down the aspirant from Ohuhu should have come one year ago, not now people have bought forms and done other consultations, by now, we should have smooth process”
He continued “in my absence, the same camp that bought form for Obi Aguocha, produced returning officer, I have no representation”, all camps should have been informed, but no way”
“You know Ohuhu is the pacesetter of politics in the southern Nigeria, unfortunately, the body that conducted the election sidelined me, I have aspired three times and I am the best aspirant”.
