An American-trained engineer, Engr. Ogbonna Abarikwu, has called on Christians to let the light of Christ’s resurrection shine through their daily lives and actions.
In his Easter message, the ADC chieftain and aspirant for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency emphasized the need for believers to emulate the sacrificial life of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for the redemption of humanity. He noted that such a lifestyle would contribute significantly to building a better and more compassionate society.
Abarikwu described Easter as the most significant celebration in the Christian faith, stressing that it serves as a reminder of the identity, values, and responsibilities of Christians.
While rejoicing with Christians on the victory of Christ over death, he reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation.
He assured the people of Ikwuano and Umuahia that he would leverage his experience and uphold transparency to transform the quality of leadership in the constituency if given the mandate.
The engineer further stated that God has endowed humanity with the resources needed to create a better society, adding that progress depends on entrusting leadership to credible and capable individuals.
