Between Monday 26/7/21 and Thursday 29/7/21 chief security officer, CSO ABSU attended a National Security Conference for tertiary institutions across the country courtesy of the security friendly vice chancellor, Distinguished Professor Onyemachib Maxwell Ogbulu and the management. Security challenges as it affects tertiary institutions across the country were exhaustively discussed. Solutions were propounded in a communique which will be sent to concerned Government officials at various levels, federal, States, vice chancellors of Nigerian Universities, Provost’s,Rectors
and other stakeholders in Education sector and students.
The chief security officer used this opportunity to thank the management of ABSU for seeing the role of Security architecture in the overall success of the achievement targets of the University in areas of controlling peace, cultism, substance abuse, stealing, indescent dressing, rape, fighting among students in the campus. He confirmed that a lot was learnt at the conference.
