Abia Advisory Council Calls for Enactment of Abia Charter of Equity

The chairman, Abia state advisory council, Ezeogo Anagha Ezikpe says the aims and objectives of the founding fathers cannot be complete without the promulgation of Abia state charter of equity.
Dr Ezikpe stated this while briefing newsmen in Umuahia as part of activities to mark thirty years anniversary of the creation of Abia state.
Flanked by other members of the council, Ezikpe opined that passing into the law the Abia state charter of equity will promote unity among the three senatorial districts of Abia state. 
While felicitating with the people and government of Abia State state, the elder statesman thanked Abia state governor for noticable advancement and improvement made so far in some  governmental activities. He pointed out that a child of thirty years has come of age with much expectations and challenges, hence he told newsmen that the advisory council is yet to hear from Abia State house of Assembly after the council presented the house with draft of the charter of equity.
He cautioned Abians to keep all the rules of covid 19 as they mark the anniversary.
Dr Anagha Ezikpe said the rotation of power from the north, central and now in the south is part of the aspirations of the founding fathers, adding that such should be maintained for the sake of equity and peace.
He said one thing still outstanding is to fulfill the dreams of the founding fathers by promotion of Abia charter of equity which was subscribed to and signed by all the representatives of the proposed state and forwarded to the house of assembly for enactment into law.
Ezikpe disclosed that these document is to ensure that equity is applied in all transactions of government in the state. 
He further states that Abia state advisory council has made representations to Abia state house of assembly for enactment of the provision of the charter of equity into law without success and pleaded that pro-active steps be taking to promulgate the charter of equity into law for completion of aims, objectives and dreams of the founding fathers.
