The Social Democratic Party, SDP electoral committee chairman for Abia State, Hon Casmir Irekamba has declared Apostle Dr Ngozika Gladys Johnson Ogbuneke winner of governorship primaries of the party.
According to Hon Irekamba, one hundred and eleven delegates unanimously elected Apostle Ngozika Gladys unopposed during their governorship primaries in Umuahia. He thanked the delegates and party members for the peaceful exercise.
On his part, Abia State Chairman of Social Democracy Party, Elder Edward Ezenwoke said the election was free and fair.
He equally congratulated their governorship candidate for taking a bold step as a woman to compete with men, pledging their full support to her and other candidates.
In her acceptance speech, the Governorship candidate of SDP, Apostle Dr Ngozika Gladys Johnson Ogbuneke appreciated the party delegates for the confidence reposed on her.
Apostle Ngozika promised to reposition the fortunes of Abia State and as well attend to the challenges facing the people, both women and children who have not enjoyed much from the present administration in the state.
She also pledged to carry every strata of the state along, including the youths in the scheme of things.

Dr Ngozika, an Orthopedic Surgeon is also a human Rights Lawyer, a Minister of Sanctuary Christian Apostolic Church of God in Nigeria and United Kingdom, said she has organised many programmes in Isukwuato and Abuja.
She urged Abians to trust her capabilities, adding that Esther in the scriptures changed the situation for better, as such, she has the sine qua non to build of every body’s dream, where education, commerce and industry including infrastructural developments would be given adequate attention.
