Dr Chidia Unveils Rev U.U Maduekwe’s Foundation, Receives Chieftaincy Title, As Sen Kalu Lays Foundation for Cinematography

Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has performed the foundation laying of cinematography centre at Asaga Ohafia in Ohafia LGA of Abia State attracted by the managing director/ chief executive of Nigeria film corporation, NFC, Dr Chidia Maduekwe.
Orji said alot of local governments in Abia North and south east states have benefited from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, through the construction of roads, electricity and other projects.
He called for sustainable support for the present federal government and APC government led by Muhammadu Buhari, adding that despite living office as governor since 2007, he has attracted many projects.
The chief whip represented by retired permanent secretary and former acting chief of staff in Abia state government, Reverend Jemima Ola Kalu, called on the people of Abia North to join APC to surpass the votes they gave to APC in 2015 and 2019.
Earlier at Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, All Saints Cathedral Asaga Ohafia, Ohafia LGA of Abia State, the guest preacher, Reverend Jemima Ola Kalu during the thanksgiving of Elder Dr Chidia Maduekwe and family enjoined Christians to embrace thanksgiving in their lives. 
 
Rev Jemima Kalu who spoke on the topic, “the power in thanksgiving” urged the congregation to emulate David whom the scripture recorded praises God seven times every day, describing praises and thanksgiving as a tool to serve.

According to her, thanksgiving is an acknowledgement of God’s mercy on people, which builds man’s confidence and command from God,  as seen in Psalm 89. 
Drawing points from 1st Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 15 to 18, maintained that those who sleep and wakes up, should thank God. Jemima recalled the burnt offering exhibited by Solomon, adding that when people thank God, they experience tremendous turn round as seen in Luke chapter 17, verse 11 to 19.
According to her, thanksgiving provokes God to do more, adding that Solomon with his burnt offering attracted God to him. She pointed out that David rendered praises to God seven times every day and such brought God closer to him.
The preacher posited that God has not fail to reward those who acknowledge his Mercy and declared 2022 as a year of thanksgiving. 
She commended the family of Dr Chidia Maduekwe for remembering to thank God.
The chief celebrant, Dr Chidia Maduekwe during thanksgiving thanked God for surviving a major sickness in Houston Texas USA and multiple assassination attacks.
Dr Chidia used the forum to announced Revere U.U Maduekwe foundation to use the vehicle and help people working for God and to immortalize Reverend U.U Maduekwe as part of activities to pay my rent here on earth.
He quoted as saying, As Muhammad Ali stated “The service you do for others is the rent you pay for your room on Earth” hence our rents is simple doing good to humanity. I have resolved to follow exactly this charge for the rest of my life. I shall live in gratitude by giving back to humanity what Almighty God has blessed me with. It is on this basis I wish to appreciate Rev U.U. Maduekwe who as a father instill in me the values and principles of social services. Today we stand here to unveil Rev U.U Maduekwe Foundation as the vehicle for the endeavor in the pursuit of service to humanity.
Dr Chidia on behalf of Maduekwe’s family thanked God and convey his sincere appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, Government officials, members of the National Assembly, the Clergy, Ohafia council of monarchs, colleagues, friends, Associates and everyone who participated at various levels in making the combined programme of events successful. 
Director film communication, Mr Bright Etuk said they are happy to join their managing director to thank God for his mercy.
Highpoint of the day was award of chieftaincy title to Dr Chidia as “Ishinka of Ohafia” (Valour of creativity)
Meanwhile, Nigeria minister of information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed was represented by Mr Godwin Uka.
