The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for the Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly election, Hon. Ifeanyi Kingsley Ekwuribe, has expressed concern over the hardship facing residents of the constituency, assuring them that better days are ahead.
Ekwuribe, in a message to the people of Umuahia South, acknowledged the difficulties confronting families, women, youths, the elderly and communities across the constituency, attributing the situation partly to what he described as poor and ineffective representation over the years.
He said a constituency blessed with hardworking, intelligent and resourceful people deserved purposeful leadership, a strong voice and representation that prioritises the interests and welfare of the people.
“My dear brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers and the resilient youths of Umuahia South State Constituency, I am deeply concerned about the difficult times our people are currently experiencing,” he said.
According to him, despite the challenges, the people should remain hopeful, steadfast and prayerful, stressing that the present hardship should not be allowed to destroy their confidence in a better future.
Ekwuribe said Umuahia South deserved more effective representation, greater attention to the needs of its communities, increased opportunities for youths and women, as well as a representative who would remain accountable and accessible to the people.
He assured residents that, if elected as the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, he would work tirelessly to provide quality, effective and people-oriented representation.
“I sincerely believe that Umuahia South deserves more—more effective representation, more attention to the needs of our communities, more opportunities for our youths and women, and a leader who will remain accountable and accessible to the people,” he said.
The PDP candidate called on the people to remain united and focused, urging them not to allow the challenges of today to undermine their hope for tomorrow.
He expressed confidence that with the support of the people and the grace of God, Umuahia South would witness a new chapter of progress, stronger representation and improved opportunities.
“Together, we can build a better, stronger and more prosperous Umuahia South. The change we desire is possible. Better days are ahead,” Ekwuribe added.
He prayed for continued blessings upon the people of Umuahia South State Constituency.
