Hon. Kingsley Ifeanyi Ekwuruibe, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Umuahia South State Constituency in the 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election, has pledged to provide effective, accountable and people-focused representation if elected.
Ekwuruibe said his aspiration is built on community development, accountability and the determination to give the people of Umuahia South a stronger voice in the State House of Assembly.
His campaign priorities include youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, economic opportunities, community development and transparent governance.
The PDP candidate also emphasised the need for all communities across the constituency, including Olokoro, to receive meaningful attention in legislative and development matters.
Ekwuruibe highlighted people-centred leadership, grassroots engagement and development-focused representation as key pillars of his aspiration.
He noted that his political movement has established structures across the 13 wards of Umuahia South, reflecting his commitment to engaging directly with the people at the grassroots.
According to him, representation should go beyond occupying a legislative seat to listening to constituents, communicating with them and working towards practical solutions to their challenges.
Ekwuruibe also pledged to promote opportunities for young people and women, while supporting initiatives aimed at sustainable community development.
He called for a mandate that would enable him to pursue a more accessible, responsive, purposeful and accountable representation for the people of Umuahia South.
Under his campaign message, “A New Voice. A Clear Vision. Purposeful Representation,” Ekwuruibe said his ambition is to work with the people towards building a more prosperous and united constituency.
