The National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Chris Isiguzo has expressed happiness to God that assisted  the union to deliver successfully 7th Triennial Delegates Conference and his  reelection  despite all litigations and tribulations.
Isiguzo stated this during a special  thanksgiving service at Church of God Mission International Bende Roadd Umuahia, Abia State.
He maintained that it is a thing of joy to gather in the presence of God to praise God for His mercy.
While thanking God for his Grace, Isiguzo also appreciated the state commissioner for information Abia State, Eze Chikamnayo, commissioner for information, Akwa Ibom state, represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry, former secretary to Abia State government, Pastor Ralph Egbu, the Church, the traditional family from Ohuhu led by its chairman, Nnamdi Ofoegbu, journalists, Goovernor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello represented by Yemi Kolakpo among others who came to thanked God with him. He also commended members of his campaign team “Greater heights” led by Amos Dunia from Kaduna State, secretary of the team, Bimbo Oyetunde among others for their transparency and hardwork.
According to him, there is every need to thank God for what He has done and recalled that in the 59 yeats history of the NUJ, the national delegate conference has not taken place in the south east, but praised God the election received massive support not minding criticisms and propaganda that Abia is not safe in terms of security. 
Comrade Isiguzo told the gathering that the 30th September 2021 court Injunction from Ibadan stopping the election was a great shock, untill God perfected His will that made the election successful.
Isiguzo acknowledged that he is the living Modecai because of what he encountered before his reelection and recalled the story of Modecai who the day he was to be killed, the opposite happened.
Speaking on behalf of Abia State government, commissioner for information and strategy Abia State, Eze Chikamnayo congratulated Chris Isiguzo on his re-election and pointed out that the successful NUJ national delegate conference in Abia shows that the state is peaceful and safe. 


Earlier in his sermon, Reverend Elkana Godson enjoined Nigerians not to worry much about their situations but remain patient like Daniel who later receive his honour.
Speaking on the topic “When God honours you”, drawn from Psalm 89 verse 20.
He noted that God’s honour comes with great blessings and uncommon favour.

The man of God prayed for more honour for Comrade Chris Isiguzo and family, divine Grace and protect him more as he pilots the affairs of NUJ.
Reading Daniel chapter 1 verse 9, chapter 2 verse 46, the preacher said background does not qualify someone but God, stressing that when God honours someone, the person does not need introduction.
He recalled that the King bowed before Daniel and gave him (Daniel) gifts, as well made him the chief of the Babylon over wise men.
According to Rev Elkana, Daniel came into the king’s house as a slave but his status increased because of God’s encounter.
His words, “when man is connected to God, he will be connected to men, emphasizing that a man who has God’s contact, he has seasons to celebrate and encouraged Christians to sustain the Grace when they are honoured.
Reverend Elkana Godson further prayed for more honour for Comrade Chris Isiguzo, divine Grace and protection upon him, his family, as he pilots the affairs of NUJ.
The event at the reception at Abia Hotels Finbars road featured special dance by Comrade Isiguzo and friends, cutting of cake, presentation of chieftaincy title certificate and attracted journalists across Nigeria, friends and well wishers.
Abia state arts and culture also entertained the gathering with cultural dance.
