The Member Representing Umuahia South constituency in Abia State House of Assembly Honourable Barrister Jerry Uzosike has identified with members of his constituents, traders and artisans over the Thursday night 12th August 2021 fire incident at Ubakala Junction in Umuahia South LGA.
In a release in his official social media page, Hon. Jerry Uzosike expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy over the unfortunate incident. The law maker a.k.a “Ogechi” appealed to the affected traders and artisans to take heart and thanked God that no life was lost in the inferno.
Uzosike assured his constituents that thorough investigation would be done to ascertain the cause of the fire incident and also advised the victims not to see the incident as the end of life, promising that there must be a way out of the temptation.
It could be recalled that on Thursday, there was a fire outbreak that engulfed some sections of shops at Ubakala Junction in Umuahia South LGA, where traders and artisans do their businesses.
National Watch also captured that Abia state fire service through its fire prevention officer, Chukwuemeka Okezie said their men were on ground to prevent the inferno from extending to other assets.
